At Crosstown, students have an opportunity
to:
- Examine their personal attitudes towards people from different
backgrounds, belief systems, races and cultures;
- Increase exposure and communication with students and teachers
from other schools, geographical areas, belief systems, ethnic groups
and cultures;
- Develop and enhance skills in the areas of communication, consensus
building, leadership development, goal achievement and decision making;
- Begin an assessment process of the human relations' climate within
their school communities. Identify and prioritize issues and plan
a diversity related service project to create more safe, respectful,
and inclusive school communities;
- Develop a sense of unity among a team of students;
- Increase confidence in their ability to make a difference in their
lives, school and community.
Space is limited to 100 participants. Early registration is advised. For
