Regional School Consortium Youth Leadership Project

The Regional School Consortium Youth Leadership Project brings together 12 schools to participate in a year-long program. Teams of six student leaders from each school receive training and engage in dialogue with other students about issues and topics of importance to high schools teens today.
The project consists of three major components:
1) Overnight Retreat during which time students work on school team building, consortium community building and identifying the objectives and goals they would like to meet as part of this project over the next school year.
2) Series of 4 Summits throughout the school year (hosted locally), each with a different theme with workshops focusing both on diversity & inclusion as wells as skills development, and
3) Development of a school leadership team, with support from Michigan Roundtable Regional Youth Interns, that uses the content and skills gained from the Regional School Consortium to address issues of diversity and inclusion in their school and surrounding community.
